Technical characteristics of the Skoda Vision X Concept 2019-2020.
The concept of Skoda Vision X is declared by the Czech manufacturer as the first all-wheel drive car of the Skoda brand without a propeller shaft !!! At once there is a question, and in what a chip of a new crossover? The answer is in the layout applied to the new model. The prototype of the junior crossover Skoda is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5 TSI G-Tec engine (capable of operating both on gasoline and natural gas) and a pair of electric motors powered by a 48-volt on-board electrical network (the first is installed in front and operates as a starter generator and the second provides rear wheel drive). Thus, the internal combustion engine rotates the front wheels, and the rear electric motor with a maximum torque of 70 Nm provides the rear drive. It is interesting that the crossover can even move only on the thrust of the rear electric motor, but only 2-3 km. In total, the choice of three driving modes: with front-wheel drive (runs only ICE), with four-wheel drive (ICE and rear electric motor) and rear-wheel drive – electric mode (rear electric motor).
The Czech manufacturer assures that the Skoda Vision X Concept can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.3 seconds and gain a maximum speed of 200 km / h. If there is a full tank of gasoline and a gas reserve in two fuel tanks, the prototype can overcome up to 650 km at one gas station.
