The beginning of sales of the new generation BMW M5 in Russia will be for the spring of next year, the price has not yet been announced, but, according to preliminary information, will be at least 8 million rubles.
The main attribute of the 6 generation BMW M5 (F90) is certainly the all-wheel drive transmission M xDrive with the electronically-controlled active rear M-differential and the function of disconnecting the drive of the front wheels. Thus, in front of us is the first car “emka” with the all-wheel drive system. Under the hood of the new BMW M5 sedan, the upgraded V8 4.4 M TwinPower Turbo is powered from the previous generation 600 hp sedan and 750 Nm of maximum torque available at 1800 rpm of the crankshaft. The upgraded engine boasts new turbochargers, increased injection pressure, more efficient lubrication and cooling systems for the engine, a lightweight exhaust system supplemented with Helmholtz resonators to provide a “formidable” exhaust emission voice at high revs.
Transmission The eight-speed automatic M Steptronic from the conventional versions of the BMW 5-Series (G30) but with a quicker and more gentle gear change, as well as the locking of the hydrotransformers, which is only disengaged when changing gears.
The mass of the new car in the equipped condition is only 1855 kg, and this despite the presence of the all-wheel drive transmission (the predecessor with the rear drive is 15 kg heavier than -1870 kg). To provide an acceptable body weight for the new BMW M5, a carbon fiber roof, available earlier only to the BMW M3, BMW M4 and BMW M6 models , aluminum hood and trunk lid, doors and front fenders, and a lithium-ion battery installed according to a tradition in the luggage compartment of the sedan (helps to achieve better weighting along the axes).

Literally a few words I would like to say about the appearance and interior of the new BMW M5 2019-2020 model year, presented with the index F90. The body of the novelty is aggressive and brutal, as befits a powerful Bavarian.
