Given the endemic hybridization sports car, 2018-2019 Nissan is thinking seriously working to equip its supercar GT-R a new generation of hybrid power plant.
Japanese engineers intend to force the machine to consume less fuel and reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, as required by the environmental standards of Europe and North America.
The current generation 2018-2019 Nissan GT-R with some updates can “stretch”, according to various estimates, up to 2015-th year, and even until 2017 th.

According to the publication Motor Trend, which has its own sources of information, 2018-2019 Nissan GT-R next-generation are equipped with a hybrid power plant, which has already been tested on a conceptual model of the Infiniti Essence.
Its total capacity is about 600 horsepower.
However, here there is one significant obstacle.
The fact that the use of a hybrid drive unit includes an electric motor and battery pack, which means that there will be overweight Japanese engineers who will need to compensate.
According to other sources, 2018-2019 Nissan GT-R can be equipped with an advanced 3.7-liter 6-cylinder engine with cut-off, if necessary, of the cylinder, an upgraded turbocharger and Start-Stop system.
That is, on the road to environmental improvement, this step will be more conservative than the installation of the hybrid powertrain.
Work on the 2018-2019 Nissan GT-R of the new generation are already underway, but what kind of option would take in the company is not known.
