2019-2020 Nissan BladeGlider – Triangle Drift Car


Concept Nissan BladeGlider 2019-2020 – photo and video, the first news, equipment and specifications of a unique electric vehicle, created for fans of drift. The new triangular electric car Nissan BladeGlider Concept 2016 is presented officially in the framework of a special event on the eve of the opening of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The Japanese company Nissan brought to Brazil immediately two Blade Glider: the first is intended solely for a static demonstration, but the second for trial visits of representatives of the media and guests of the 2016 Olympics in Rio. According to preliminary information, the electric car Nissan BladeGlider in 2019-2020 will lose the prefix Concept and go into mass production. The price of the new electric car Nissan BladeGlider will be about 70,000 dollars.

It should be noted that the BladeGlider 2016 concept is a more modern and advanced version of the first conceptual model named BladeGlider, shown by Nissan in 2013 at the motor show in Tokyo (video below in our review).

 

The concept of 2016 became even more extravagant and futuristic, but at the same time retained the three-seater layout with the seating formula 1 + 2 and the original triangular body with a narrow gauge of the front wheels and a wide track of the rear wheels. This unusual concept of auto allows us to provide not only exotic appearance, but positively influences aerodynamics and provides excellent maneuverability. True, there are minuses in this design, the main one is stability in corners.


Representatives of Nissan responsibly declare that thanks to the presence of two electric motors (one for each rear wheel) with the vectorization of traction, it is not worth worrying about the stability of the car in corners. Moreover, this system allows you to choose one of the three modes of operation – off, agile and drift. So the driver is free to independently turn off the entire vectorization system (off mode), select the agile mode for the ideal cornering, or choose the drift mode and enjoy the smell of burnt rubber. If the car capsizes – the powerful arc of the safety framework, installed above the heads of the driver and two passengers, will provide maximum protection to those present in the cabin.

Externally, the new Nissan BladeGlider sample of 2016 looks amazing. Starting with a fantastically stylish LED optics and guillotine doors opening up the car, ending with a phenomenal relief of the horizontal and vertical surfaces of the body with a lot of aerodynamic details.

Technical characteristics of the Nissan BladeGlider Concept 2016: the Japanese innovative electric car is driven by a power plant consisting of two electric motors mounted on the rear axle. Each engine can provide a peak power of 130 kW (more than 176 hp), the total output of the engines is 200 kW (about 272 hp) with a torque of more than 700 Nm. There is also a vectorization of thrust, which we talked about a little earlier.
The electric power plant provides a triangular drift car with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds, a top speed of 190 km / h.
Interestingly, the electric motors Nissan Blade Glider work almost silently, and the company’s engineers compare the car with the glider. That’s so quiet, but with a squeal of tires and smoke, you can drive a new car for drift lovers.
