The exterior design of the new Japanese compact crossover C-HR is perhaps the most daring of the currently produced cars with the Toyota logo. The salon of the Japanese novelty demonstrates the modern architecture of the front panel and the central console with a convenient placement of a multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen, a simple and understandable climate control unit, an informative instrument panel and a compact steering wheel. The central console, which has been turned towards the driver, together with a high floor tunnel form a kind of cockpit of a sports car, hinting at the gambling appearance and dynamic character of the crossover. Front seats with pronounced side bolsters complement the sports focus of the novelty.

According to representatives of Toyota Motor Corporation, the cabin of the new compact crossover Toyota C-NR is the best in the class. In the presence of high-quality, pleasant tactile finishing materials with a huge selection of colors and textures (soft plastic, fabric or leather), comfortable first-row seats and comfortable second-row seats, a variety of equipment that can satisfy even the most demanding buyers.
As a standard and optional equipment, the Toyota Safety Sense (Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beam, and Road Sign Assist), the Simple Intelligent Park Assist ), 17-18 inch alloy wheels, a premium JBL audio system with 9 speakers for sound quality, like in a concert hall, a multimedia system with an 8-inch color touchscreen (the most advanced Human Machine Interface and navigation), dual-zone Climate control, heated steering wheel Wheel, front and rear seats, leather armchairs, background LED interior lighting, keyless access and other chips.

The luggage compartment is capable of receiving 370 liters of cargo volume behind the backs of the second row of seats.

For the Japanese SUV, two petrol engines and a hybrid powerplant are provided.
The basic version of the new product will receive a new turbocharged 1.2-liter engine, also installed on the Toyota Auris (116 HP 185 Nm) paired with 6 manual transmissions (Multidrive S variator as an option), petrol consumption in the combined mode of motion declared by the manufacturer at level 5 , 7 liters. Modifications of the crossover with a manual transmission by default with a drive to the front wheels, for the version with the variator as an option is available all-wheel drive AWD.
For some markets, including the Russian one, a 2.0-liter atmospheric engine (150 HP 193 Nm) will be available in the company with the CVT variator and all-wheel drive.
In the European market, the Japanese manufacturer hopes for a hybrid version of the Toyota C-HR Hybrid with a 122-horsepower Toyota Hybrid Drive, which provides a modest fuel consumption of just 3.7 liters per hundred. The drive to the front wheels transmits using an electronically controlled variator.
At the heart of the new compact crossover Toyota C-NR is the TNGA platform, which is based on the Toyota Prius 4 generations .
