2018-2019 Volkswagen Eco Up: slow but efficient








The 2018-2019 Volkswagen Group presented its new Eco Up – eco-friendly version of the compact model Up, which was the slowest “passenger car” in the model range of the German automaker.
The car accelerates from zero to 100 km / h as much as 16.3 seconds.
For example, the Polo hatchback with a 1.2-liter engine with 60 horsepower gains “hundreds” of 0.2 seconds faster.
New 2018-2019 Volkswagen Eco Up comes with a 1-liter 3-cylinder power unit, consuming as a fuel as gasoline and natural gas.







The engine has a capacity of 68 horsepower and develops 90 Newton meters of torque.
The compact car can accelerate to a peak of 164 km / h.
Hatchback 2018-2019 Volkswagen Eco Up received the Brake Energy Regeneration system, Start-Stop system and tires with low rolling resistance.







Average gas consumption at the 2018-2019 Volkswagen Eco Up is 2.9 kg per 100 kilometers, while emitting CO2 in the atmosphere of just 79 g / km.
As stated in the company, each “hundred” kilometers will cost the future owner of the car in Germany about 3 euros.
The new hatchback has 3 fuel tanks – 2 for gas and one for gasoline.
As a result, the machine can travel without refueling around 600 km – 380 km of gas and still 220 km on a normal petrol.
The cost of the new 2018-2019 Volkswagen Eco Up begins with 12,950 euros.
